Just steps from your door, you can fly fish on our private mountain lake or access an extensive trail system. The groomed 200-kilometer Methow Valley trail system is recognized as one of the finest systems in North America for cross country skiing, off-road bicycling, hiking, and horseback riding. The fresh mountain air, breathtaking scenery and the friendly Methow Valley spirit allow avid outdoor enthusiasts and first time explorers alike the perfect opportunity to discover the great outdoors.

Jack’s Hut
Jack’s Hut is the Freestone Inn’s year-round recreation center. Located across the parking lot from the main lodge and adjacent to the swimming pool, our staff can assist you in arranging whatever outdoor activity you desire. From horseback riding to hot-air ballooning, Jack’s Hut can provide you with the necessary information to make your vacation everything you had hoped for. Swimming
After a long day on the trails, take a refreshing dip in our beautiful outdoor swimming pool. Open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend, weather dependent. Or wade into our cool private lake, available to guests and homeowners only.

Hot Tub
Relax and rejuvenate in our lakeside hot tub, while watching the osprey dive and the fish jump…the perfect end to your adventurous day in the mountains or a long day on the trails in any season.

Fly-Fishing/Freestone Lake
The tranquil and private Freestone Lake is a surrounded by an alpine forest and is stocked for catch-and-release fly-fishing; barbless hooks only. Jack’s Hut offers fly-fishing rod rentals and can assist you in arranging lessons or float trips. Our private lake invites you to test the waters and provides much needed relief after a warm summer afternoon on the trails…why not take a dip?

Hiking
You do not have to venture far from your door to enjoy the extensive trail system that is right here on Wilson Ranch. From here you can journey down valley on the Methow Valley Community trail and watch for wildlife along the cascading Methow River. For more adventure, head west on Highway 20 and explore hidden lakes and high meadows in the North Cascade Mountain range, often referred to as the “Alps of North America”. Jack’s Hut offers mountain bike rentals for all ages and abilities available by the hour or by the day. Trails diverge just outside your door and allow you to find a gentle mountain trail for the most inexperienced rider, or a strenuous alpine path for the more advanced. The Freestone Inn is the hub of some of the best mountain bike and road riding in the Methow Valley, and in the northwest.
